Arlington Fly-In, Airshow and CD Breakfast

Arlington Fly-in is July 9-13.  Make sure your calendars are marked and you have set aside Friday, July 11th @ 9 AM, to join your 2008 Apple Cup CD's (Ann Marie and Carol) for our 3rd annual CD Breakfast.  Breakfast will be ready by 9 sharp and will be served @ the Burch's hangar @ the South end of Arlington Airport.  We will have room for your plane if you fly and for your car if you drive.  We'll have great grub (Dan T's famous pancakes, sausage, fruit, the works) and front row seats for all the planes flying in on Friday.  Here's the link for the Airshow schedule - http://www.nweaa.org:80/airshows.cfm?menu=schedules

See you all there!

Sponsorship Update:

Over the past months, AWAC 2008 Inc. has been talking to potential sponsors for the 8th Advanced World Aerobatics Championship. The good news is that some have already committed to the event, and we thank them all for that. However, there are still plenty of sponsorship opportunities available.

We ask that any individual or organizaition interested in sponsoring AWAC 2008 contact us via the Email Us link above as soon as possible to discuss our potential sponsorship opportunities and associated media benefits.

Dates & Logistics:

AWAC 2008 is now set for August 1st through the 10th at Pendleton Airport in Pendleton Oregon. Click here for information on the airport. This places the event in the middle of what is generally months of the dry, warm weather that is normal for the high desert of Eastern Oregon. Expect warm sunny days with some degree of wind - bring sunscreen, a hat and be ready to drink a lot of water while at AWAC!

Two hotels are being used in the Pendleton area: the Pendleton Red Lion and the Pendleton Best Western. These hotels are almost right next to each other. All available rooms in these hotels are currently reserved to AWAC 2008 Inc. and should be booked via our registration process (use the Registration link in the menu above. Please do not try to directly book with these hotels as you will likely get told them have no rooms available during the championship.
